Rough budget for a trip for two to the BVI at the end of May

  • Flight  = $ 2,000 (round trip for two)
  • Cost of boat rental = $6985/week
  • Fuel for the boat = $2,000
  • Security Insurance = $210 ($30.00/day)
  • National Parks Permit = $25/week
  • Dinners = approximately $600 ($75 a meal for two)
  • Brunch = approximately $160 ($20 a meal for two).  It is expected that we may cook some of our own food on the boat as well, so add $100 for groceries
  • Scuba Diving = $140 ($70 per person for single tank dive)
  • Kayak Rentals = $240 ($40 per person for a single day)
  • Windsurfing Rentals = $100 ($50 per person for a beginner’s package)
  • Snorkeling supplies = $100 ($50 per person)
  • Hotel accommodations = $300 (assuming that we stay in a hotel for 2 days after the boat trip)
  • Souvenirs = $100
